About COGI

Mission

Our mission is to improve the quality of life for BIPOC who are affected by IBD, Digestive Disorders, and associated Chronic Illnesses; through Community, Research, Education, and Advocacy.

Vision

An equitable healthcare system freed from the seeds of racism, providing the space and opportunity for all individuals to be regarded as such, to have their care delivered based on needs and best opportunities for optimal outcomes.

As COGI expands its reach, the goal is to:

Host information and resource sessions with a partner organization within underserved communities.
Provide information on healthcare providers that are compassionate and display quality ethics and integrity
Connect patients with opportunities to be included in studies that are being facilitated by pharmaceutical companies and other healthcare initiatives
Create opportunities that allow for a better quality of life for minorities affected by these diseases
Create collaborative partnerships that directly move the mission forward, and serve our community
